My interests are Native American Studies and the North American West. My thesis investigates the Western Nebraska potato harvest from 1917-1955, which required the hiring of Lakota Sioux laborers from the Pine Ridge and Rosebud Reservations. While focusing on Box Butte County, the thesis looks at the overall processes, problems, as well as the development of white and Lakota relations.
